Definition: WSDL

(Web Services Description Language) An XML-based language that describes the protocols and formats used by a Web service. WSDL descriptions can be housed in a UDDI directory, and the combination of WSDL and UDDI enables applications to discover and use whatever services are available on the Web that perform the additional functions the application requires. See UDDI, WSFL, WADL and Web services.
