A service from Google that allowed printing from Cloud Print-enabled apps such as Gmail, Google Docs, Chrome and Firefox browsers to a Cloud Print-enabled printer via the Internet. Users registered their Cloud Print printers using their Google account. The Internet was the exchange channel, but the print job remained in Google's servers until the printing was completed.
Introduced in 2010 and terminated in 2020, hundreds of printers natively supported Cloud Print; however, software was available to use unsupported printers. Contrast with
AirPrint and
HP ePrint.
