(Amstrad Colour Personal Computer) A personal computer from British consumer electronics company Amstrad. Introduced in 1984, Amstrad CPCs were 8-bit Z80 computers that competed very successfully with the Commodore 64 and Sinclair's ZX Spectrum in the U.K., France, Spain and Germany until discontinued in 1990.
