Definition: wireless EV charging


Charging an electric vehicle without cables. Using magnetic resonance, as of 2023, WiTricity is the leading wireless EV charging company with products in the testing stages. WiTricity also provides bi-directional charging, which is a feature of EVs. In the event of a power failure in the neighborhood, the EV can be the backup power source for the home.
