Definition: tractor feed

A tractor feed is a "pin feed" mechanism that moves continuous sheets of paper with perforated holes on both sides across the print head of a printer. Contrast with sheet feeder. See continuous forms.

Tractor Feed
This tractor feed pulls the paper through the printer from the bottom to the top. The pins on a sprocket grab the paper by pushing through the holes at both sides of the forms.
