Using algorithms to generate fine detail in a photo. Computational photography is used in smartphone cameras to improve the quality of photos; however, nothing can compare to the results of a professional camera with lenses that can be at least 10 times the size of a phone camera lens. The larger lens allows more light to enter the sensor. In addition, the sensor for each pixel in professional cameras is considerably larger than phone camera sensors. See also
