Definition: smart bed
A bed (for sleeping) with one or more automated features. For example, a smart bed may have a split mattress that enables two people to raise their sides separately. Smart beds may have temperature control, providing warming and cooling as required. Sensors may track a person's sleep and send the data to a smartphone app. To help people fall asleep and wake up, a smart bed may have built-in Bluetooth speakers. See smart.
TEMPUR-ActiveBreeze Smart Bed
The second-generation ActiveBreeze smart bed includes the Sleeptracker-AI suite of relaxation programs to help people fall asleep. The dual-zone climate control allows each side to be as much as 30 degrees apart in temperature from the other, and the bed can detect snoring and lift one side in response.
