The transmission of live video. Real-time video implies no delay at the receiving side, or at most, imperceptible delays, and it is required for a smooth two-way video calling or videoconferencing session. Although a one-way video broadcast streamed live may be considered real-time video, there is an intentional, buffered delay at the receiving end to compensate for momentary disruptions in the transmission.
