Definition: netViz
A network diagramming program for Windows from CA Technologies. Introduced in 1993 by netViz Corporation, Gaithersburg, MD, netViz keeps the lines between objects connected as they are rearranged on the page. With more than 400 predefined symbols, netViz allows a database to be linked to the objects in the diagram for documentation. NetViz was privately held until 2003 when it was purchased by Concord Communications, a performance monitoring and fault management software company. In 2005, Computer Associates (now CA Technologies) acquired all assets of both Concord and netViz.
