(1) A microscope that magnifies and projects its images onto a screen.
(2) A small data projector that is used with smartphones and other mobile devices. Introduced in 2008, microprojectors either plug into, or the mechanism is built into, the device. A microprojector can emit an image onto any handy flat surface typically up to 20" in bright light and up to 50" in the dark. See
