Software that creates and executes macros from the keyboard. A keyboard macro processor enables a single key command to perform a series of keystrokes, providing a shortcut to lengthy menu selections and other operations. For example, pressing Ctrl-F2 could cause the keyboard sequence "F2-Down Arrow-Down Arrow-Enter" to be executed. A keyboard macro processor can also be implemented in hardware (see
