Definition: iPod classic

Apple's original iPod model from 2001 to 2014. Due to its hard drive, the classic holds more music, video and image files than other iPod models and retains the click wheel control, which has always been popular among iPod users. The classic is a high-capacity playback machine with no camera, touchscreen or Internet capability. It plays H.264 and MPEG-4 movies and TV shows and displays photos in popular formats such as JPEG and GIF. See iPod, iPod versions and click wheel.
