Definition: eSuite

An earlier Java-based suite of applications from IBM, via its 1995 acquisition of Lotus, that included word processing, spreadsheet, email and presentation graphics. It ran in any PC that had a Java Virtual Machine. Formerly code-named Kona, the individual executable programs were considerably smaller than counterpart applications in Microsoft Office and other Windows-based software.
