Popular Security Cams
Both of these cameras connect via Wi-Fi to the Internet but require AC power. The Dropcam at the top (painted to blend in) and Piper (bottom) connect to their own power adapters. In 2015, a Dropcam was acquired by Nest Labs, and Dropcams became Nest Cams.
Mobile Access
Like this Piper unit, all home security cameras, as well as enterprise models, have mobile access via the Internet. (Images courtesy of Icontrol Networks.)
