An umbrella term for systems that are more environmentally friendly and more energy efficient. Examples are solar power, wind power and LED lighting. Clean tech focuses on developing clean energy and conserving energy. Nanotechnology plays a part in clean tech because it is used in the development of solar panels, fuel cells, biofuels and solid state lighting. See
