(CAR heliCOPTER) An automobile/plane that takes off and lands like a helicopter. The first carcopters are expected within the 2025 time frame; however, mainstream adoption of such modes of transportation are expected in the 2050 time frame. French startup MACA debuted a Formula 1 hydrogen-powered race car dubbed Carcopter that is expected to fly at more than 150 MPH and be racetrack-worthy by 2023. See VTOL.
