Definition: calling plan

A monthly subscription to a cellular carrier for making phone calls. Plans typically provide unlimited calling, while prepaid services are based on a number of minutes per month. Text messaging is typically included, and the number of messages may be unlimited or limited. Calling plans are often part of a package that combines voice, text messaging and data.
