An earlier music, video and photo organizer for Windows PCs and Xbox game consoles from Microsoft. Along the lines of Apple's iTunes software, Zune was used to synchronize media between the computer and a Windows Phone, and it was also used to update the phone's OS. Mac users with Windows Phones required an iTunes synchronization program (see

Zune Marketplace
Zune was the funnel into Zune Marketplace, Microsoft's online music service. Zune became Xbox Music and then Groove Music, which was discontinued at the end of 2017. See
