Array) An interlaced screen resolution of 1,024x768 pixels introduced in 1990 by IBM. Supporting 256 colors, XGA extended VGA's text mode from 80 to 132 columns. XGA was later enhanced to non-interlaced and 64K colors. Over the years, vendors added numerous resolutions that were fractions or multiples of the total number of pixels in XGA. See
