Definition: Wink hub
A home control hub from Quirky Inc., New York. Introduced in 2014 and supported by GE, the Wink hub works with products from GE, Honeywell, Philips and other manufacturers. It also supports Bluetooth LE, Lutron ClearConnect, Wi-Fi, Z-Wave and ZigBee wireless connections. Products labeled Wink App Ready communicate directly with the Wink app in the mobile device; however, Wink App Compatible devices require the hub.
The Wink app can scan a barcode to identify supported devices, and Wink Robots tie events together such as locking the door when a light is turned off. Wink Shortcuts are like macros and signal multiple devices with one tap.
Spotter Uniq - User Customizable
For use with the Wink hub, Quirky also offers a wall-mounted combo device that holds four objects, including sensors that detect temperature, humidity, motion or light as well as smart buttons to perform actions.
