The email and newsgroup client in Windows Vista. Windows Mail replaced Outlook Express, the lite version of Outlook that came with previous Windows versions. Windows Mail includes an instant search capability that is also integrated into Vista's general search. Windows Mail was superseded by Windows Live Mail and then simply Mail for Windows 8. See
