Originally for DOS in Chinese
In 1988, WPS Office started out as the DOS-based, Chinese language Super WPS (Super Word Processing System). In 1997, WPS 97 was the Windows 3.x version. Four years later, WPS Office included presentation and spreadsheet applications. When developed for the English and Japanese markets, it was released as Kingsoft Office in 2007 and renamed WPS Office in 2014. See
