Definition: Voice Link
A cellular service from Verizon and other telephone carriers that is used in lieu of landlines in rural areas, as well as areas that have been damaged by storms. Voice Link does not support DSL, analog dial-up, fax machines, credit card terminals and home security systems. E911 emergency calls may or may not be handled as well as landline calls to 911, and the automatic recognition of the calling number's street address is not guaranteed.
