Definition: VersaCAD
A family of CAD systems for Windows, Mac and DOS from Archway Systems, Inc., Huntington Beach, California that features 2D geometric and construction drafting and 3D modeling with 16 viewports. Developed in the 1980s by brothers Tom and Mike Lazear and marketed for years by Computervision, the Lazears reacquired all rights to VersaCAD in 1999. The program is widely known in the professional and educational CADD community for its intuitive and user-friendly design.
