A VESA standard for eliminating cable clutter on the desktop by combining signals in one cable and using the monitor as a central distribution point. The EVC cable includes audio, video, parallel printer, Firewire, USB and the VESA Data Display Channel (DDC) and attaches via a 34-pin MicroCross Molex connector. The concept never caught on. The connector was later renamed P&D-A. See
VESA Plug & Display.
