Definition: United Launch Alliance


An aerospace company founded in 2006 by Lockheed and Boeing. The United Launch Alliance (ULA) manufactures Delta, Centaur and Atlas rockets and provides launch services. Facilities are at Cape Canaveral and Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. Its primary customer is the U.S. Department of Defense. See SpaceX and Blue Origin.
