USB Enabled Legacy-Free PCs
USB 1.0 debuted in 1996, but it did not pick up steam until an updated USB 1.1 came out in 1998. Shortly thereafter, the first "legacy free" PCs appeared on the market using USB as the primary external peripheral interface except for the monitor, which used VGA. See
