(2) (Ultra-Mobile PC) An earlier lightweight Tablet PC. Introduced in 2006, an Ultra-Mobile PC (UMPC) weighed about two pounds and contained a hard drive for storage. It ran under the Windows Tablet PC operating system, and both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth were included. Code-named Origami, the Ultra-Mobile PC followed Microsoft's Windows CE-based media player (see
Portable Media Center). See
