Definition: Time/Date

An internal DOS/Windows command that sets the system time and date and updates the internal battery-powered clock.

  time           display time
  time 14:30     set to 2:30pm

  date           display date
  date 10-11-12  set to Oct. 11, 2012

TO UPDATE A FILE'S TIME AND DATE
A file's time and date can be made current with the Copy command. For example, to update XYZ.BAT, type the command as follows with the plus sign.
