Definition: Cybertruck

Tesla's pickup truck. Preordered in 2019 and three times delayed, the first customers received their Cybertrucks in November 2023. With production ramping up in 2024, the least expensive rear-wheel model is planned for 2025.

Looking like a futuristic passenger vehicle more than a pickup truck, the Cybertruck is offered in single, dual and tri-motor models ranging from $60,000 to more than $100,000. The Cyberbeast top model has 845 horsepower and a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds. Tesla's self-driving option is also available. Elon Musk has claimed the vehicle is sufficiently waterproof to briefly serve as a boat if the water is not choppy.

A Game Changer?
Unique to say the least, the Cybertruck's sleek lines make it appealing for everyday driving, and its load and pulling capacity rival many gas-engine pickups. The vehicle has an unpainted stainless-steel body that Tesla claims makes repairs simple and quick. (Image courtesy of Tesla Motors.)

A Workhorse in Disguise

You Can't Miss It
The Cybertruck does stand out from the crowd and is impossible to miss on the road or in a driveway.
