Definition: Tera-Scale


An earlier Intel research project for the development of future CPU chips that contained as many as 100 cores. Tera-Scale refers to the resulting teraFLOPS speeds of such chips and the terabytes of data they are capable of processing. A major design goal was an architecture that supports huge amounts of data processed in parallel. See Larrabee and teraFLOPS.
