A website creation and hosting company founded in 2003 by Anthony Casalena. Originally developed for a personal blog, it was opened to the public in 2004 for users to create their own websites by using templates and drag-and-drop elements. Developers also create custom templates that users may purchase. Casalena was SquareSpace's sole employee until revenue topped $1 million in 2006. By 2022, the company had more than four million subscriptions. In 2023, Squarespace purchased the 10 million registered names from Google Domains, which was launched in 2014. See
