An SOC (system-on-chip) family for Windows laptop computers from Qualcomm. Announced in 2023 for 2024 delivery, the X family is aimed at AI applications and includes Qualcomm's Oryon CPU and Hexagon neural processing unit (NPU). Qualcomm claims 60% faster performance using 65% less power than comparable Intel-based CPUs. Graphics performance is similar to Apple's M2 chip. Snapdragon X GPUs use less power than previous Snapdragon GPUs.
X Elite and X Plus
The Snapdragon X Elite has 12 CPU cores and comes in three models, each offering varying graphics and AI performance. The X Plus (X+) is a bit slower with 10 processing cores. See
