Definition: Shoggoth
A meme for AI, which is a shape-shifting amoeba-like creature with multiple eyes that forms limbs and organs on its own. Shoggoths came from horror writer H.P. Lovecraft's sequence of sonnets in 1929 and were revived as a meme in 2023 when an image of the GPT-3 + RHLF model was depicted as a blob with a smiley face. See RHLF.
