Definition: SearchMash

A test search site from Google launched in 2006 and terminated two years later. Designed for trying out new search engine features, SearchMash produced the standard results pages along with a menu for images, blogs, videos and Wikipedia. Clicking any menu option displayed image thumbnails, text excerpts or a small video window, all of which could link to the full content on the target site. See Google.
