Definition: RoboCAD
An earlier CAD program with a long history from Robo Systems International, Inc., Newtown, PA. RoboCAD began running under DOS in the mid-1980s and included a wide variety of features and text functions. It provided up to 256 colors and layers, had two drawing pages and a scratch pad, and could transfer data to its solid modeling program. RoboCAD was noted for its performance and ease of use and was very popular in the education market. Versions of RoboCAD were available for DOS, Windows and Windows-compatible Macs.
