Definition: R-UIM


(Removable User Identity Module) A removable smart card that is used in CDMA cellphones. The R-UIM is a superset of the SIM card used in GSM phones, and like SIM cards, allows CDMA subscribers to use a different phone by moving their R-UIM cards to the new phone. See CSIM and SIM card.
