Definition: QUIC

A transport protocol from Google used with the HTTP/3 Web protocol. Coined initially as "Quick UDP Internet Connections," QUIC uses UDP to establish multiplexed connections between parties. However, unlike UDP, it is not connectionless and therefore replaces the connection-oriented TCP used in HTTP/1.1 and HTTP/2. See HTTP/3.
