A development and database platform from Progress Software Corporation, Bedford, Massachusetts that runs on Windows, Linux and various Unix versions. Debuting in 1981 and originally known as the Progress language and database, OpenEdge includes a 4GL-based language and relational DBMS that also interfaces to Oracle, SQL Server and other databases.
