Definition: Pro Display XDR

Apple's high-end desktop monitor. Debuting with the third-generation Mac Pro in 2019, the Pro Display XDR is a 32" LCD 6K monitor (6016x3384). Requiring the Catalina version of macOS or higher, the monitor is defined as Extreme Dynamic Range (XDR) by Apple because of its 10-bit color depth, 1,600 nits peak brightness and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. The XDR's glass cover has an anti-reflective coating for reducing glare. See Mac Pro and 6K resolution.
