Software that allows Windows programs to run on Linux. Based on Wine, PlayOnLinux runs executable Windows programs intact. Although 100% compatibility with all Windows applications is not guaranteed, unlike virtual machines, PlayOnLinux, as well as PlayOnMac, do not require a licensed copy of Windows to be installed. See
