Definition: Pepcom

A technology showcase founded in 1998 by Chris O'Malley and Jon Pepper where several dozen select vendors exhibit new and innovative products to the invited press. Pepcom events, which have a theme to enliven the event, such as Paris, Mardi Gras, wine and rodeos, are often held during the same week as major trade shows such as the consumer electronics shows in Vegas (CES) and Berlin (IFA).

Technology and Baseball
Along with some 50 exhibitors showing off clever technology, Pepcom's baseball theme for the 2012 Digital Experience in New York was bats, beer and tasty ballpark food. Ron Swoboda, known for his "amazing 1969 catch" for the Mets was signing autographs.
