A popular system of version control and configuration management software from Serena Software, Inc., San Mateo, CA, that runs on DOS, Windows, OS/2 and various Unix platforms. It is widely used on PC-based LANs. PVCS was originally developed by INTERSOLV of Rockville, MD, which was acquired by Micro Focus Group in 1998.
