Quantizer) A high dynamic range (HDR) video technique that provides up to 10,000 nits of brightness. PQ is used in HDR10 and Dolby Vision (see
HDR) and was specified by SMPTE in SMPTE ST 2084. PQ and HLG are the electro-optical transfer functions (EOTFs) in Rec. 2100 (See
ITU-R HD standards). An EOTF is how digital data is converted into light.
