Definition: POA


(1) (PoA) (Proof-Of-Authority) A blockchain consensus method. See proof-of-authority algorithm.

(2) (PoA) (Proof-Of-Access) A decentralized storage consensus method. See proof-of-access algorithm.

(3) (Portable Object Adapter) In the CORBA system, POA refers to the part of the ORB responsible for managing server-side operations. POA policies are set to allocate and deallocate resources, to determine how long object instances are maintained and to deal with system failures. The POA replaces the Basic Object Adapter (BOA), CORBA's first object adapter. See instance and CORBA.
