Definition: OPS

(2) (Open Profiling Standard) A specification for sharing data and ensuring privacy of a user's data. The OPS provides a standard way of identifying which data can be transferred from the user to a website and how it can and cannot be used. See ICE.

(3) (Open Pluggable Specification) A digital signage standard from Intel, NEC and Microsoft. OPS is a single-slot interface for connecting a computer to a flat panel display. Launched in 2010, the OPS makes it easy to replace a failed computer in the field.
