God charging cable) A seemingly normal USB charging cable that is used by a hacker to steal data. Officially spelled "O.MG," the cable's case contains a Web server, USB communications and Wi-Fi access point. It enables the thief to snoop on the data passing through the cable as well as initiate commands to the device being charged. Of course, the hacker has to be within range of the Wi-Fi transmission and needs access to the office where the cable can be casually dropped on a desk. The OMG cable is even less suspicious than USB drives that have been modified for the same purpose. See
