A photographic film technology that takes every picture in one of three selectable formats: Wide angle high-def (H), extreme wide angle Panorama (P) and Classic (C), the latter having a 35mm aspect ratio, but smaller frame size. A major advantage of the Advanced Photo System (APS), branded as Kodak Advantix, Fujifilm Nexia, AgfaPhoto Futura and Konica Centuria, is its drop-in cartridge, which is easier to load than threading 35mm film onto a take-up reel.
