Mathematical software for PCs and Macs from Parametric Technology Corporation (PTC), Needham, MA. Used extensively for engineering calculations, Mathcad allows complicated mathematical equations to be expressed, performed and displayed. The program works hand in hand with PTC's flagship Pro/ENGINEER product and was acquired from Mathcad's original developer, Mathsoft Engineering & Education, Inc. in 2006.
