Definition: Live Photo

An iPhone camera feature starting with the iPhone 6s that records three seconds of video in the MOV format along with the still JPEG photo. The previous 1.5 seconds of video are captured before the photo was snapped, as well as 1.5 seconds afterwards, which means the iPhone must be held steady before and after taking the photo. In addition, the audio is also recorded.

Loop, Bounce and Long Exposure
Live Photo was introduced in 2015; however, two years later, additional effects can be added in the Photos gallery app. Loop plays the video and keeps repeating. Bounce plays forward and then backward, while Long Exposure combines all frames into one. See iPhone 6s, Force Touch and motion photo.
